HAYPEKS CONSTRUCTION TOURISM INVESTMENTS AND TRADE INC. (MERYAN HOTEL) acts as the Data Controller under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and, within the scope of Articles 10 (“Data Controller’s Obligation to Inform”) and 11 (“Rights of the Data Subject”), hereby informs you about the purposes of processing your personal data, to whom and for what purposes your personal data may be transferred, the method and legal grounds for collecting personal data, and your other rights under Article 11 of KVKK.
Purposes of Processing Your Personal Data
Personal data is collected and processed verbally, in writing, or electronically due to regulations of the Ministry of Tourism, Revenue Administration, and other relevant institutions, as well as the contracts we have concluded. These data are used to provide and improve our services, carry out sales, marketing and other operational activities, fulfill information storage, reporting and notification obligations, and may also be used within CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems to improve service quality and marketing activities.
Your personal data will not be used for purposes other than those stated above without your explicit consent and will not be shared or transferred to third parties except where legally required or to official institutions.
The company may share your personal data, only based on explicit consent or under the conditions set forth in Article 5/2 of KVKK, with domestic or international affiliates, subsidiaries, business partners, public institutions legally authorized to request such data, and service providers, suppliers, authorized dealers, and business partners, provided that necessary security measures are taken.
Methods of Collecting Personal Data
Personal data may be collected in various situations including:
A. Hotel activities:
• Room reservations
• Check-in and payments
• Food and beverage services during stay
• Requests, complaints, and disputes
B. Participation in marketing programs or events:
• Loyalty program registration
• Customer surveys
• Online games or competitions
• Newsletter subscriptions
C. Information from third parties:
• Tour operators, travel agencies, GDS systems, etc.
D. Internet activities:
• Website visits (IP addresses, cookies)
• Online forms, social media interactions, online login systems
Retention, Deletion and Anonymization of Personal Data
Personal data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized when the purpose of processing no longer exists, in accordance with KVKK Article 7 and Turkish Penal Code Article 138.
Security of Personal Data
The company takes all necessary technical and administrative measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. In case of any data breach, necessary notifications will be made to the Data Protection Authority and the relevant individuals.
Rights Under Article 11 of KVKK
You have the right to:
a) Learn whether your data is processed
b) Request information if processed
c) Learn the purpose of processing
ç) Know third parties to whom data is transferred
d) Request correction of incomplete or incorrect data
e) Request deletion or destruction
f) Request notification of corrections/deletions to third parties
g) Object to results of automated analysis
